Soap is made by mixing hard and liquid oil together with sodium hydroxide which saponifies the oils into a solid form with cleansing properties. Natural additives, such as kaolin clay and ground oats help to increase the bars moisturizing properties.
Natural colouring additives create soap with soft hues of colour. Essential oil are added as a natural way to add fragrance to the bar and are preferred over fragrance oils due to their health benefits.
All ingredients are added together in small batches to maintain quality and craftsmanship. Measuring, timing and temperature must be exact in soap making to produce a quality bar of soap.
